第二趟入住，前一趟入住后的最佳印象就是地理位置十分出众，新疆大厦楼下和对面就是天河北路上双向的公交大站头“时代广场”站，十几甚至二十部公交，往西去越秀和荔湾一部公交可达极方便；或者新疆大厦出门右走两三分钟至体育西路又有公交站“体育西路”站一部公交往海珠、番禺和白云；或者在天河北路与体育西路交口再往东步行两三分钟就是地铁三号线和APM线的“林和西”站。餐饮购物也很方便，向南方步行十分钟到天河商圈。
楼道不长，安静。
预订的是标准大床房，从楼层房型分布看，前台给的是十四层的豪华大床房，朝北面向广州体育学院视野开阔光线很好。不过因为楼下即是天河北路车水马龙，所以睡眠浅的人要留心。
酒店卧房看起来有些年头，电视是球面电视，地毯污渍有些多，但是卫生间看上去是新装修的，洗脸台、水龙头、毛巾挂、化妆镜、座便器都挺新的，淋浴房空间算得上宽大，但莲蓬头不能取下。
这张大床是由两张单人床拼的，床垫也是拼的，然后上层再覆盖一层厚垫，宽倒是很宽，但是两张单人床垫用得久了中间凹陷没有弹性了，所以只能睡中间两张床垫的拼缝处，毕竟硬硬的不很舒服，估计两个人睡有困难。
