The hotel is nice and a comfortable environment. It's location is a bit out of the way, but not too bad. The rooms are a bit small, particularly compared to similarly priced hotels in bigger cities. (e.g. I came from Shanghai and spent a similar price for a room that was easily 50% larger. Given Shanghai prices, it should have been the other way around.) The breakfast was very underwhelming. Poorly cooked "western" food that only vaguely looked like what it was supposed to be, and tasted nothing like it. Small selection of lukewarm Chinese breakfast items. Tiny bottles of yoghurt. Very watered down juice.

We had an excellent experience at the Shanti hotel. If in town again, we would definitely stay here. Lovely view across the street to the lake. Room was spotless. We had no trouble at all using an international credit card. If desperate for food, there's a MacDonald's a short walk away.
