The old events in the south of Jinling City are hidden in the world, originating from the high-end full-service resort hotel brand of Huazhu Group. The Old Store Huajian Hall · Zhuque Li is the location of the "Sanguan Hall" (a Taoist temple dedicated to the worship of heavenly officials, earthly officials, and water officials) bestowed by Emperor Chengzu Zhu Di during the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty. The hotel's name "Zhuque" is derived from the ancient poem "Sheng Ge Cong Jiu Ying Zhuque, Gu Shu Qi Zhen Bu Wu Yi", which leads travelers to explore the past life in the south of the city. The house in Zhuque Lane, Laomen East Huajian Hall, is a living evolution from Ming Dynasty Taoist ruins, Qing Dynasty residences to modern boutique hotels. It won the 2023 Asian Architects Association Architecture Award and is an important example of conservation and regeneration practices in urban renewal.
