Huang Garden in the 1920s known as the“Chinese historical villa.”. Huang Garden is the predecessor of the former business de chi foreign line“Two write”(deputy manager) of the house, named“China de Chi”, first bought by Lin Erjia, then sold to Huang Yi in 1917. Huang returned from Indonesia in 1919 and settled in Gulangyu Island. Huang Yizhu first in the“Two write” residential building on both sides of the two symmetrical villas, known as the“North and south floor”, used to house small. In 1921, Huang Yi tore down the “Second write” house and built the “Middle House”. It was completed only in 1925 with a total area of about 11,988 square meters and a Gross leasable area of about 4,500 square meters. For some historical reasons, there are now 6 buildings in Huang's garden. Before the founding ceremony of the People's Republic of China, Wang Jingwei, Cai Tingkai and Chiang Kai-shek were guests at the Huangs' garden, while after the founding ceremony of the People's Republic of China, in 1976, it was renamed the Third Guest House of Gulangyu Island, and in 1979, it was renamed the Gulangyu Island Hotel, from the 1950s to the 1980s, party and state leaders such as Wang Zhen, Richard Nixon, Lee Kuan Yew and other foreign dignitaries have also lived here, and on July 8,2017, Gulangyu Island officially won the World Heritage, on the morning of January 28,2018, the“World Cultural Heritage” licensing ceremony was held in Huangjia Garden. In April 2001, the Xiamen Municipal People's government announced the yellow garden as a key protection of historic buildings; in October 2018, the Fujian Provincial People's Government announced the ninth batch of Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the Provincial Level; October 2019 was State Council of the People's Republic of China as the eighth batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
