酒店地处南湖边上，环境安静，干净卫生，是岳阳市政府公务接待酒店。酒店客房服务很贴心，长期自驾洗的衣服干不了，客房服务员很用心的引导你晾干衣服。房间虽然潮湿但有除湿器，晚上睡的也很踏实舒服。值得称道的是酒店餐厅饭菜做的很地道，剁椒鱼头，湖鲜三宝等口味都不错。酒店可以直通南湖边上，晚上可以在湖边散步，早上可以在湖边打打太极拳。赶脚好极了！
