离大寨线路的1号、2号观景台很近，出门就是景，不错。但是离停车场有好几里的山路，行李很难拿。车子比较难开进来；尤其是在浓雾的夜晚，尝试开进，导致爱车受损，最后还是停回大寨景区停车场。酒店为全木板房，可以想象设施不力，住宿条件很一般，远远没有所谓的“三星标准装修”。

从停车场到客栈要走40分钟的山路，在2号景点旁边。房间设施比较简陋，只有一张床和一台收不到节目的旧电视。不过泉水鸡味道不错！
