My room was one of the nicest hotel rooms I have ever had. The room was very large, clean, well maintained (i.e. nothing broken, no chipped tiles or cracks in the wall, etc.), and had all the amenities that one could need (desk, comfortable chair with Ottoman, large bed, plenty of storage, refrigerator with free soft drinks, some free snacks - others for pay if you want, bathrobe, slippers, flashlight, umbrella, ironing board, even a TV in the bathroom). And given that this was a 5-star hotel, the price was definitely right. I marked the location as "Good" only because being right in the heart of the city, getting anywhere through the traffic was at best difficult and it took about an hour to get to my place of business. The room and hotel in general were spotless, and kept that way. The facilities had just about everything, from a variety of restaurants to shopping to entertainment. Breakfast at the Bamboo Garden each morning was excellent, though I would advise getting there early, as it tended to get very crowded later in the morning. I marked the service as "Good" due to the following: virtually everything was printed in English, so getting around the hotel was no problem, and knowing what was available was no problem. However, though the staff were courteous enough, I found that it was very difficult to communicate with them. Only a few spoke any English at all, and even the ones that did struggled to converse. Given that everything was printed in English as well as Chinese, I kind of expected that a good portion of the staff would also speak some English as well as Chinese, but that was not the case. Still, though, overall it was a fantastic room at a good price for USD, and I would definitely stay there again.
