大理北バスターミナルから徒歩3分、市内バス乗り場(大理駅方面)は徒歩1分の高立地。周囲には食べ物屋さんも多い。
ただ、特価ルームは部屋にエアコン、扇風機、バスルームの換気扇もないので通気が非常に悪い。
冬は電気毛布を入れてもらえれば寒さを凌ぐことはできるだろうが夏は暑くて眠れないと思う。(5月でも汗だくになって目が覚めた)リネン類は毎回交換しているようだが、掃除も行き届いておらず入室した時床は髪の毛や食べかすが散乱していた。また、外国人の宿泊対応に慣れていない為チェックインには30分ほどかかった。ただ、フロントのお嬢さんの感じは良かった。
