We arrived late and the staff waited to check us in which was welcomed. Nice location although a little way out from the sights of Suzhou. Breakfast was not the best but the hotel is beautifully restored. The only downside of an old building is that it was very noisy early in the morning!

The hotel is a great old house, beatifully restored that really takes you to ancient times, but it feels really abandoned and important details are not considered. To keep such a establishment other type of management needs to be put in place. Aspects like the super dirty moquette in rooms or the ridiculous breakfast (both Chinese and foreign clients were absolutely shocked) can be easily improved. Definitely such an investment to restore a beatiful place needs better management.

The service is very good. Everyone is friendly and helpful especially 金金, Example helping us to order food online. The temperature dropped and they brought extra heater for us.
