交通挺便利，毗邻城市主干道，公交打车都方便。马路对面的星湖城还有沃尔玛，购物也方便。房间设施比较陈旧，老牌五星估计都是这样，相比四五百一晚的房费就显得有些贵。面向沃尔玛的这一侧，房间采光挺好，对面那侧只能看见帝豪公寓。电梯速度挺快。露天泳池需自带泳衣泳帽。前台服务很好。

酒店是老牌五星，设施是旧了些。在市中心黄河路金沙东路，附近逛街吃饭比较方便。当然比较纳闷的是房间插座大都是英标，只有一个国标插孔还坏的，只好让服务员拿转换插板。
