这是个老宾馆。现在是民政局下属。位置很好，但价格偏高，装修和服务也不如同类酒店。特别是不禁烟的公共场所，餐厅到处烟雾缭绕，这真的想问一句：公共场所已经全面禁烟，为何新金星宾馆一个官方所属宾馆却没有任何公共价值的体现？

软禁的钱学森为了回国想尽了一切办法，最后他还是通过一封家书，偷偷地将求救信送回了祖国。周总理得知消息后，决定先发制人，率先释放被关押的5位美军王牌飞行员。
然后他对外公布了钱学森同志的求救信，这招也让美国政府羞愧不已。毕竟中国方面已经展现出了诚意，如果还阻挠钱学森回国，这实在说不过去了。
为此，美国方面最后还是释放了钱学森。回到中国

非常好的酒店，真正体验到满意温馨、宾至如归。从香港来甬是晚机11点了，我只一人只入住一晚，酒店还照样派两位先生一辆车接机，第二天一早5:30也如约免费送我去火车站，先生对客热情，很敬业，不仅令我满意，近乎感动。还送水果和热甜汤。前台服务生热情周到、有礼有节。房间设备齐全实用，面积大，房间整洁，更具江南诗意（壁嵌草书）。泊车场宽广。大厅堂皇。酒店位置近车站，十分方便。性价比很高，诚心推荐朋友们体验。
